Awesomness of Web Browsing Games

Many people fond themselves struggling to stay on task when they are behind a computer. When there is nothing to do at work, many play games on the internet. These games have the ability to kill any extra time, without having to download whole games on to the computer.

Because these games are run off of the internet, lengthy download times are eliminated. However, loading time may increase depending on the quality of your internet provider.

Flash Games, which are mostly web games, are simpler games that are shorter, entertaining games. They are normally made by indie designers and can have original stories, or have elements of other games in them.

Text Based Games are games that are also made by indie developers. Most, if not all, are MMORPGs. These games focus on text to play. They require basic, sometimes advanced, reading ability. The developers mainly play with mods to monitor players chat, and to take in feed back to improve the game.

There are many different ways web games make money. Some include:
  • Free-to-play (make money off advertisements)
  • Free-to-play (Pay to get better at the game)
  • Subscriptions
Web Browsing games have a large audience, from kids in school to adults at work. Anyone with the ability to design (and some that can't) can make these games. The key to being successful is determined on how well you keep the attention if the target audience. While I play GemCraft: Chapter Zero, Rest Easy!
